Dayton/Columbus
Dear journal, Mom woke me up early. She said that we needed to go. "Go where?" I asked but she only said it was a " Secret". In my mind I wondered why we would go anywhere at 4:00. But mom told me to start packing so I knew we must be going on a vacation. She said we were going to go around Ohio. So I guess we're probably going to stay at a hotel. Then I got really excited. Once we were all packed we were already on the road. A few hours later, we were at Dayton. Dad said he wanted to go see the Korean War Memorial. He said that his dad was part of the war and he just wanted to visit it. Once we were at the wall, we rubbed the names on a piece of paper. We stared at it a long time while we were leaving. We didn't know what else to see in Dayton so we just left to another location. We finally decided after hours ("Well, maybe it wasn't hours but it seemed like like a long time.") to go to Columbus. We went to the Columbus Zoo And Aquarium. We had a blast. My brother wandered off so we were freaking out about where he was. Then we saw him looking at a bunch of gorillas. After that experience, we went to the Ohio State House. We found out it was built in the 1860's. But it looked very cool. "Where do you want to go next?" Dad said. "Home" My brother decided. Well it turns out dad didn't want a answer so he said we're going to a hotel. We went to the Carew Tower. Our hotel was in there. There wasn't enough beds because Alex said he doesn't want me to sleep with him so I had to sleep on the couch, it wasn't comfortable at all. That was just a nap. We went to the Carillion historical park in Dayton. Sorry to say, but it was boring.

- Gotta go, dad is telling me to go to sleep.

Cincinnati
Dear journal,
We decided to stay at the hotel for a while. We didn't exactly have a good time sleeping. While we were eating breakfast, we decided to go to Cincinnati. We went to the Cincinnati Historical Society. There was a library and everything. It was built in 1831. That was a pretty long time ago. After that, we went to the Cincinnati Fire Museum. We got to see all sorts of stuff.
We went to Coney island after that. It had a bunch of roller coasters. I went on one and I was freaking out. After I got off, I thought I was going to throw up. On the way back, I actually did throw up. Mom wasn't very happy. After we took care of the mess, I decided to never ride a roller coaster again AS LONG AS I LIVE.
Anyway, we decided to go to the Cincinnati art museum after that. It was pretty interesting except Alex was really bored and grumpy. So we decided to go home because of Alex. We got fast food to cheer him up and it worked. We went straight to the hotel after that. It was really late when we got back.

- Goodnight, and hopefully we'll have a better time tomorrow.

Lake Erie
Dear journal,
After a day of resting, we went to Lake Erie . We went on boats and we went fishing. It was so fun. We went a beach. Alex was disappointed because he thought there was gonna be tidal waves. It took a long time for us to convince him to go to lake erie. But then I said it's the eleventh largest lakes and that got him to come. There was something called lake erie sport fishing. It is a attraction in lake erie. I caught one fish. That was very embarrassing.
Mom and dad said that we needed to go back to the hotel and get some rest. It was 6:00, and we got there at 4:00. So that was a ripoff.
- Good night.

Cincinnati ( "Again" )
Dear journal
We went to Cincinnati AGAIN. Mostly because dad went online to find good places when he saw something about BB River boats. I was really excited. It felt so good to be on the river boat. The boat was bigger than we expected. There was a lot of people on board. Mom was afraid that I might catch a cold.
After that, we went to the Cincinnati zoo and Botanical garden. There are some endangered species there. We got to touch snakes. But I'm never gonna do that again. I saw a panda that kept staring at me. It scared the heck out of me. It was 5:00. And mom said it was time to go home. I learned one thing from that day. Animals try to freak you out. Just like the incident about evil teachers in their secret rooms who try to confuse kids. My teacher sometimes jokes about that.
I'm glad we're back at the hotel.
Well, our Cincinnati experience is not over. We went to the Ohio river. We just looked at it but it was a sweet experience.
- Good night

Delaware
Dear journal,
We went to the The Olentangy indian Caverns. There are some HUGE holes inside, and every time I see a big hole, I get really scared. So about halfway through, there was the biggest hole ever. There was a bridge, but still. A guy told me to watch my step. So there was a big chance I might fall. Once we got outside. I felt like kissing the ground. But doing that wouldn't be the wisest thing. Once we got back to the hotel, we had dinner and went to sleep.
- Sweet dreams

Cleveland
Dear journal,
We went to the Cleveland museum of natural history. It was so cool. There were a ton of fossils and everything. We only stayed there for like 2 hours. Then we went to Castaway bay. I had caught 2 fish. It wasn't my record. We went to a fast food restaurant after that. Then mom said we had to go home. That was a huge bummer but I didn't know where else to go. So we went in the car and we were heading home.
- Bye
P.S. I know saying "Bye" is a bad way to end something. But what else could I say? Anyway, see you later.
